Digital and technological advancements have changed the way we "backpack". Hostels and trains have been replaced with ride and house sharing companies, and short term rentals, all literally at our fingertips via apps and social media reviews. Regardless of the ease technology offers today’s travelers, the unforeseen challenges that accompany long travel remain the same. Many things go wrong; many things exceed expectations. A grand adventure through Europe and Asia in 2015, however, is still able to bring us closer to strangers, wildlife, history and each other in this satirical mix of humor, love, and philosophical thoughts.
