‘The Tie Factory’ is a clown’s solo of Pedro Correia that approaches, in an absurd and poetic way, the condition of the man with regard to machines, to technology and to work. The daily life of a clown, worker at a tie factory, is constantly interrupted by the simple pleasures of life, making us rethink the concept of work and worker and the way they relate. The battle between machines and clowns began!

This show was inspired by cinema from Jacques Tati (Playtime), Buster Keaton (The electric house), Charlie Chaplin (Modern Times) and by the works of the Portuguese philosopher Agostinho da Silva on the role of work and the human condition.
It’s a show on a creative and experimental process crossing multimedia and the clown performance.
